Review: Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1) by Leigh Bardugo

“When everyone knows you’re a monster, you needn’t waste time doing every monstrous thing.”

-Kaz Brekker

I decided to read this book as literally everyone on bookstagram recommended it, I even recieved a Six of Crows watercolour bookmark in a Fairyloot box. I decided to go for it and no regrets! It took a few chapters to get used to Leigh’s writing as it is different to Sarah J Maas’, which I binge read before this, but her style was also so good and unique. Beside that, the story is such a pageturner, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

I’d truly recommend this book, as it got recommended to me with a good reason. This universe (or Grishaverse as it is called by Leigh and her fans) is just something else and is perfect in this world full of different fantasy stories.

For months now, after finishing this duology, I have felt the itch to finally read the Shadow and Bone trilogy and I am going to order the set soon! I can’t wait to dive into this world again.
