Review: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter #2) by J.K. Rowling

“Of all the trees we could’ve hit, we had to get one that hits back.”

(J.K. Rowling; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)

★★★★✩

I can say that even though I really love how Harry Potter went from the Muggle world to Hogwarts, I enjoyed this book a whole lot more. It may be because the characters get more development and you get to know more about the school, but it can also be personal preference.

I have so many good feelings reading this series, most of it is probably nostalgia, and I have a hard time to express those feelings properly. I can say they are all really positive and I really enjoyed reading this book. The reason I gave this book four stars is that I found that the actual climax of the story was rather late and short compared to other events in the book and that was a bummer. Besides that, the story was phenomenal, especially for a children’s book.

I recommend the Harry Potter books to everyone. If you have watched the movies, the books are still worth it. It is such a unique story and world and I really want to share that with as many people as possible.
