Three Bookish Things – Tag

I saw this tag the other day over at Book Hooked Nook and it seemed really fun to do! So, let’s go!

I didn’t have time or inspiration for a picture of this post, so I snagged a picture from my Instagram with three things in it. Creative right?

Three Read Once and Loved Authors

Taran Matharu – I have read The Novice and I was in love with the world quite fast really! I have The Inquisition on my e-reader already.

J. Bernlef – I read his book Hersenschimmen for a school assignment and I was genuinely touched by the subject. It is about a man going through dementia and the story is written from his perpective. Truly beautiful.

Herman Koch – Zomerhuis met Zwembad. Another book I read for the same assignment and I was actually surprised by how good the story was. Some pretty heavy subjects and some grey morals woven into a really good story. Now I understand why so many people in the Netherlands love him!

Three Titles I’ve Watched But Haven’t Read

This one is easy, I can give you four even: every Harry Potter book after Prisoner of Azkaban. I am still catching up with reading.

Three Characters You Love

I have grown attached to several characters from Schwab books, so here we go:

  1. Delilah Bard – Does that need explaining?
  2. Cassidy Blake – She is one badass kid, you can’t prove me wrong there.
  3. Victor Vale – He isn’t truly evil, just really morally grey, but that is what we all love about him, right?

Three Series’ Binged

  1. A Court of Thorns and Roses – I bought this trilogy and dove into it right away. I took it with me on holiday and I finished the last book in the car home. I was crying so hard! Never forget.
  2. Six of Crows – So many people were talking about this duology, so I ordered them
  3. Shadow and Bone – Quite some time after reading Six of Crows, I saw the box set of this trilogy for €22

Three Unpopular Bookish Opinions

I don’t really have unpopular opinions, I guess? Hmm.

Three Current Favourite Book Covers

1. (I count this as one) The covers of the Hibiscus Daughter duology by Lana Popovic, Wicked Like A Wildfire and Fierce Like A FirestormAren’t they gorgeous?!

2. The newest cover of Vicious by V.E. Schwab. Look how awesome it looks with the sequel next to it!


3. Even The Darkest Stars. It is absolutely beautiful and I love it! The cover of the sequel, All The Wandering Light, is just as pretty. Haven’t read any of them, but eventually I will. I do hate how the spine is just flat white with black letters while both front AND back have a similar print. A huge waste in my opinion.

Three Goals for the Year

My goals are very basic, but I would be very proud if I’d get there. Oh, and 3 seems to be my lucky number at the moment and really fits this tag. Not that I care about numbers so much, but I like to set goals for myself and seeing the interaction with my content grow just makes me feel really proud.

  1. Reach 300 followers on my blog.
  2. Read 30+ books
  3. Reach 3000 followers on Twitter.

  1. This looks like such a fun tag! Six of Crows is definitely binge-worthy. I was so glad I had gotten both books when I got to the end of the first – that cliffhanger would have KILLED ME otherwise. Even the Darkest Stars was SO GOOD, and yes, the covers are freaking gorgeous. I can’t wait to read the second book. I just love Vicious and Vengeance’s new covers. *heart eyes*

  3. This is such a fun tag, I loved reading your answers 🙂 I love Delilah Bard so much as well and I also read the Six of Crows series really fast, too, it was so addicting and GREAT 😀
